Ive been reading these post forever,and others elsewhere..,everyone has an opinion or website to send you 2,but i read 215 x17 tires will rub/or wont rub?
my post even got locked???thanks alot!! so will someone who has a stock tib AND 215's on please tell me if they rub????the more i read ,the more yes and no's I get!

No, 215's will not rub, but do NOT go any higher.
EDIT: SORRY i just realized i have 205s....don't mind what i said, i don't know if 215s will rub or not.

i got b+g springs and 215's (215/40/17) rub...... no springs, no rub

Also depends on the sidewall height you get as well. The replacement tires I have on there until I order my new tires for the Tib (one blew out on me) is 205/55/15 from my GSX. It rubs on really hard rights.

it also depends on the tire. Some manufactorers actually make their tyres a little "narrow" for the size they are. I think Yokohama is notorious for doing this, but it does help in getting wider rubber under a car.

215/40R17's MAX!!! I dunno how many times I've said, that.
Even if you have 1.5" drop you won't rub. HotRod has that setup, and it's fine.
