I am pretty sure there are people running that combination with the eibach kit... Rubbing all depends on what size tire you put on that rim and the offset of the rim.. so give us some more specs.
If you have not decided on a tire, I am sure some people here with 17s will tell you the perfect size to use.

The ideal size tire for a 17" wheel on the Tib is 205/40/17. Which tire you get depends on your personal preference and budget. As long as you don't get lowering springs that are an extreme drop you should be alright. Do a search because there have been a lot of topics covering this that would give you valuable information.

The Eibach's will settle to about 1.5"
You can shoe up to 215/40/17 with no rubbing problems. I had 205's on my 7.5" wide Toxxins, but I wanted more rubber in line with the rim, so I went to a 215/40. If you get a tire with a rim-band, you'll be square with your wheel and add a little protection for when you grate the curb. Even on canyon runs, still no rubbing.

Well from what i hear, you dont want to put springs on stock struts. I hear going with KYB's are the best choice when considering cost. So you should at least do springs and struts.
