Re: AIPC edition tiburon???
remove wheel, remove two 17mm bolts holding caliper to knuckle(on the rears, its 14mm). remove brake line bolt, i think its a 12mm bolt. it is not necessary to remove the two 14mm bolts holding the caliper bracket onto the caliper.
its not even really necessary to remove the caliper to paint it. especially since youll be squirting brake fluid everywhere if you do. then youll have to bleed the brake system.
i just wouldnt take the things off. not worth the hassal. ive completely replaced the brake fluid twice, and its kind of a pain. painting them with them on is easy.
btw, someone move this to brakes. wink.gif

Re: Need a plant biology project idea
Yea, plus the rear calipers on a tiburon are a b**** to paint if you take them off newayz. they are made up of a few different pieces that all fall apart once you take them off the rotor. might be easier to keep the rears on...
news flash brake fluid is like 2 bucks. but if you wanna do it while they're on make sure u get some newspaper or something and protect ur car's paint job and ur rotor & everything else around the area ur gonna be spraying.

Re: removing break Calipers
are you going to replace anything else?? I didn't mine when i replaced the pads and rotors so I just bolted the calipers on without the rotors and painted them like that. other wise just mask off the rotors and buy the duplicolor kit at autozone. you paint it on, much, much, better than the spray cans. laugh.gif
