Default Rear strutbar for Elantra spotted!

Hey all.

Recently, I was browsing onlineshowoff.com, and something of interest caught my eye. In the Hyundai listing, some kid has a n/a 2000 elantra with a rear strut bar! I was told that this product was not made for our cars, so how did he get one? Did I get the wrong information? Where can I get one if they're made?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I heard the Tiburon one will work, but you have to take the back seats out(?).

There was one fitted to the 2000 Elantra I have. You do NOT have to take the seats out. It fits behind the rear seats, but it is a serious/major PITA to install. 4 hours of work and wrangling.

Random,

Do you actually have directions for this? Or maybe a contact for a person who has done it so I could get some insight on what I'm in store for?

Yamaneko and I did it about 2 years ago. It involved ripping out nearly all the inner trunk liners, and sub panels under them, but you can do it.
