hmmm.. interesting that it fits so tight against the back seat. I use my hatch with fair regularity, so putting the seats up and down is a weekly thing for me. I also have my fireextinguisher mounted to the backside of the driver's side rear seat..

It is pretty tight, but not too big of a nuisance.

So tibwrcsbj, you're saying the racetech bar is 6 sided?

Well, on mine it's so tight I can't close the back seats.

I think I'm gonna take it off, elongate the holes on the brackets, and push it back some.

Shouldn't be a problem when I put my back buckets in though...

Hrmm,.. the SR (CoughKINGSAFECough) bars that I have seen installed are tight, but you can still put the rear seats down and up without a problem

I have an old JUNTOS bar, looks like the SR one, but mine's chrome (shinny) and it's tighter than the SR ones. I think I'm the ONLY one that has an this one,( in North America anyway) and it's tight but the rear seats will go back up.

i'll do a test fit before i tighten the bolts, just to make sure i won't have the same prob as redz, it was enough of a b**** to get all that sh1t out to do my dynamat, i don't want to have to do it again after the strut bar is installed.

Well, i just installed it oday and i didn't have any probs with the rear seats. Yeah i had to kind of pull them fairly hard to get them to lock, and do definately hit the rear seats, but its right in the middle where the two seats meet, so if you pull on them from behind near the lock mechanism they arent very hard to get to lock.

Oops, just noticed the dbl post (does it still count if its on another page??)

KaiJai, I will email you a couple of pics sometime this week, if you still want them.

Ok, Sounds good.

Do it before the weekend, I'm off on a ski trip, so I won't be able to do anything for a week after.
