Default Rear Shocks vs. Rear Sway Bar

What would be better upgrade for my tib that does both DD and the occasional track and auto-x:

1. Rear Koni yellow shocks, or

2. Rear sway bar

Rear sway bar is a bit cheaper but I am worried about my rear end dancing around while driving through twistys. Noticed how the guys with rear sway bar are 3-wheeling around tight corners in auto-x which looked odd. Also, I would like rear shocks to decrease back wallowing in slalom.

However, I might be totally wrong, so asking for opinions?

I would not go with rear Koni yellows without doing the fronts also personally.

A rear sway bar will increase your front traction enough that the car might tend to rotate a bit more instead of plowing into the corners. Depending on what you're trying to accomplish this might help or hinder you. I've never driven an RD hard or raced one. In the Accent a rear sway bar was the single best mod I did to the car until I installed the Ksports. It might still be better because now the car beats the crap out of me lol. On our GK it tends to understeer pretty badly at the limits of grip, I would love to put in a rear sway bar to help with that.

Rear sway bar stiffness increase on a car that pushes through corners? Winning. If your struts are shot (certain if they are the ones that came with the car, and you can afford it, do the struts all round. If you can't afford it, get the stiffer bar first. For autoX an adjustable bar might be nice in case you go too stiff and start spinning out
