Are the calipers aluminium? Weight info on them would be nice, if not necessary. Adding unsprung weight TOTALLY sucks.

 

with smaller wheels those would look badass...

I can always see about getting another small loan...these would be worth it..

what size rims would these fit under. With the roads around here, I dare not go above a 16 inch rim.. so that might limit me with a 13 inch rotor.

 

now is that 1200 for fronts only and 1700 for both front and rear, or is that 1700 for rears only, meaning almost 3000 for fronts and rears? also....these don't sound like they fit under stock rims. do they?

 

I think he said 16 would be the smallest....correct me if Im wrong..

 

ok guys, i did a TON of research on wilwood equipment. i was going to be peicing together my own parts and making my own kit, but i have no money right now.

the ONLY thing you have to make is the caliper bracket, which is just a peice of aluminum with steel threaded inserts that holds the universal calipers to the spindles.

everything else you can buy. ive taken tons of measurements and was planning on spending less than 750 for the front, with all wilwood equipment. the rear kit would be even less. you just have to do research.


and the brake lines nate said would probably be wilwood brake lines. goodridge ones WOULD NOT work with this kit though. the brake line fittings on all wilwood calipers that i know of are NPT.


oh, and these would definately not fit under 16" wheels. rob(4doorgl) had a 13 inch kit with 17" wheels, with a high spoke design(5zigen fn01r-c), 38mm offset(kinda low, but still) and he actually got some clunking noise when he was autocrossing. the slight flex in the wheels was making them hit the calipers.

the calipers he has listed above are around 2 and a half pounds each.
