Question for 2000 Lo and So Tibby

smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif Dear Lo and so hi,
I have one question for you.Do you happen to know the new suspension system for tibbies called Billstein PSS9?I heard that they are special coilovers made for the wrx tibby, and that billstein will be selling it as a product very soon especially in US!Read please also this:
1)adjustable coilover
2)miniblock springs
3)shocks air-oil
4)Opportunity for 9 different adjustments
5)by pass valve(for the quantity of the passing oil)
6)Full name Proffesional Suspension system 9
(PSS9)
What is your opinion? My tibby is suffering in the street because its very stiff(KYB shocks, viden springs)I mean the shocks do not have enough space to move with the current springs I use.So after about 30000kms that i have the new struts the car is really suffering!!!  What should i do?If i put the eibach springs with the stock shocks woul i be ok?
Please answer me because you are the suspensions master here!!!
PS I dont want to spend a fortune cause i already did it with the turbo mod!!!THANX

Full, true coilovers are available from korea, but they run about $2000 a set.

If the Billstein setup you mention has everything you said...it probably going to be more $$$.

HKS makes some coilovers for tibbies, there are also various different Korean companies that make coilovers.

Contact Boogyman of Shark Racing if are serious about coilovers. He should be able to hook you up, but they are going to be expensive....

HDK AutoSport offers "Best" brand Coilovers for about $800, but they are not quality, and I would not vouch for how long they would last.

Turboman....yeah..basically what Random said. (Thanx Random :D) On another note, I know that Bilstein makes just regular shocks and struts for lowered vehicles. Contact them and see about getting a set for your car. Bilstein is top quality and will outlast your KYB's.

As far as installing the Eibach's....you can do that, but remember..the Eibachs are not that low of a drop. Only about 1.2" You can get away with the stock struts/shocks with the Eibach springs, but wouldn't recomend it. Any type you lower your car, you want to really try and have all lowering components. So if you get drop springs, then you want a good set of drop shocks to go along with the system. I'm not too sure on how low the Viden Springs lower your car. If they're around 2" or so, then that's why you'll have a les than perfect ride quality. The lower you go, the more harsh the ride is..unless you actually go with something like an air suspension.

Going by what you described on the PSS9's, they sound like a really good thing to get...but like Random said....chances are they're gonna be expensive. Any type of one specific dop component that is able to do everything that you listed, rest assured it's not going to be cheap. Good luck with it, and let us know if you have any other questions. wink.gif
