having some problems with the car this week.
when im driving the steering wheel is facing to the left but the car is pulling to the right. i took it to the garage to get the tracking looked at but they was stumped too. they said they set the tracking but soon as the car moves the tracking jumps out 4mil. thing is it keeps swinging back to normal the off 4 mil then back again as if somthing is loose. it seems to be the front right wheel that has the problem. they didnt check the suspension but when you push down on the bonnet to rock the car it bounces and stops like it should do so that seems ok. they looked it over and nothing seems to be loose down there so makes me thing it could be the steering wheel that has the problem maybe? any ideas please???????

sounds strange. I'd ask around some wheel alignment shops and be as specific as possible. It may be a problem that only experience can help with.

Bent bolts or brackets? Wheel properly placed on hub?

Do you have aftermarket wheels or suspension? Did you have brakes changed or anything immediately prior to the problem arising? is the car lowered? How long has this been happening? Are tires properly inflated (will cause car to pull to one side)? Is it possible for axles to be slightly bent causing wheel to bow, or not properly set in place?

it's the steering wheel hub screwed in the wrong way although it's not the actual hub it's the mechanical part in the engine bay that probably wasn't screwed right during alignment.

both need to be adjusted.

the thing that most people dont know is that with the tib and most other multi link suspension is that if one wheel is out of place that will throw the other three out as well.. if its doing that check you Low arms in the frount and the links in the back as well. now you say when you push down on the frount it bounces. if it bounces to much then you shock are shot.. but i would check all the ball joints and links in the rear as well... it not common here to change all the suspension out once every two years... pm me if you want me to get you a compleate setup f/r. ask your shop how much in parts to change everyting out..

take it to an alligment shop and have it looked at.

Something is phucked under there.... you wont know UNTIL you (if your qualified enough) or a specialist checks it.

hi guys
the car is booked in to a garage on sat morning. i took it to a tracking centre and they had a look around the wheels but could see nothing wrong. i spoke to a few ppl and they seem to think its a bush gone or the stearing colum maybe. the the only thing the tracking place found was my new stainless steel exhaust has split open on one of the welds! i took this to a garage last night to see if they can re weld it but they said to take it back to where it was made. so im gutted again and just to really hack me off while the car was parked out side the garage last night (for about 10 minutes) someone thought it would be funny to key the car! so i now have a nice long scratch all the way down one side. what a week!

the car isnt lowered, all standard springs brakes ect. aftermarket wheels is all.
the problem has only happened in the last week or so. the problem seems to be with the front right wheel acording to the tracking garage. there are no noises from the wheels when driving and no juddering when braking ivor. the car bounces when pushed same as it always has which is a good sign although the ride is a little bumpyer.

hyundai wanted 72 pounds + vat (so about $140ish) just to look at it!

right the garage had a good look at the car and found no problems.
they admit that the car is doing what i say it is but they cant find what is doing it.
they did say it could be the wheel alligment. not what a normal tire place would do but a full 4 wheel job that a dealer or body work company would do. its booked into the main dealer now so hopfully they can sort it out. any views you guys have would be great.

thanks

all fixed now.
turns out it was the rear tracking after all! 2 different tire garages over 3 days did the tracking ect and said something is busted, the dealer had it for 1 hour and had it sorted. they charge a bit more but atleast they did the job right.
thanks for all your help on this matter guys
