Pirelli "dragons"

Hey!
A friend of my folks is the head of marketing for Pirelli over here & I've gotten to know him over the last week or so.
He has kindly offered to get some Pirelli tyres of my choice for me at wholesale prices, which is pretty cool.
My only issue is that, even with super cheap prices on the Pirellis, the wheel/tire combo will still be a fair bit dearer than getting a wheel/tire package with average tyres from the wheel shop. Also, not many of Pirelli's tyres are suitable for the Coupe.
He is recommending the "Dragons" in 215/40-17. Anyone here tried them?
