Default Not Sure......someone HELP

Ok I'm not sure about this. Has anyone ever seen an import that had either colored rotors brakes or calipers to match the exterior color of their car? you know 5 spoke rims with the colored parts inside...can anyone tell me what part that is, and also were i can find them for a 2000 Elantra. Im hopefully looking for baby blue since that is the color my car is going soon....

Yes, thats the caliber. You have to take off your wheel, take off the caliber and clean it. You can buy caliber paint at your local pep boys, napa, you name it. Just clean it with brake and dust remover and paint it like you would anything else. It's a custom "mod" it doesnt come with the car. Make it like a night job. Take one night and say "this is what I'm gonna do" and take em off, clean em, paint them, and throw those suckers back on. Hope I helped.

I've seen colored rotors before...now i mean that is the way you buy them..not painted. But in my opinion they look like ****. If i were you i would do like Kamikaze said and paint the rotors

First off - DON'T PAINT THE ROTORS.
a) your ability to stop will NOT exist until the paint wears off.
cool.gif the paint will eventually wear off and look like ass
c) you'll probably cock over your brake pads in the process

As for the two different brake systems offered by SR. The drilled/slotted rotors are just that. A new set of rotors that have been drilled and slotted to improve braking performance. This work improves the ability of your pads to grip the rotors, and the ability of the rotors to dissipate pad gasses and heat.
The Big Brake System gives you a larger set of rotors than stock, AND an upgrade in the calipers. These calipers are larger than stock, which means you put larger pads on, which means you'll have more stopping capability.

do NOT paint the rotors... never... just the calipers. smile.gif You can find the color you want at your local PepBoys like I said. If not, any high temp paint will work fine too... but, and I mean but.. if you do use the high temp paint, make sure you clean the caliper EXTRA GOOD with the brake and dust cleaner or it'll look pretty crappy. If you use "caliper paint" then you dont have to clean it so well. Iago is also right, it just enhances your ability to stop and all that good junk. smile.gif Remember, only paint the calipers... and make sure you do this... away from your car.

You still don't want regular paint overspray on top of your clear coat. There would be a matte haze over the clear-coat shininess. sad.gif

I didn't say paint your rotors i said i've seen anodized calipers...you buy them and they are already red or blue or whatever and it doesn't harm braking or anything and it doesn't rub off. But i agree with everyone else..Just paint your calipers and it will look much better
