I actually like colored tires. I really wanted the BFG Scorchers when they were on the market. Of course, black tires with red stripes through the tread would have matched my black car with red stripes (which was my plan for my Cougar at the time).

I'm not sure if it counts as a trend, but everybody in my area is abusing those little strips of LEDs you can buy. I think it was inspired by this:







But it is now getting out of hand. People are putting them around EVERY crevice on their cars, it looks like dog balls and has ruined LED lighting for me.

Colored tires: Why not? You have colored metal finishes and colored bumper covers on the outside of your car as well.
