Default New Wheels question

So I'm looking into some new wheels, have my eye on 2 but I'm trying to decide...I'm sure this has been discussed for ages but I would ask and see, one of the sets of wheels would add 2 lbs per corner (from 20lb-22lb), same tire size so no difference in weight there. Ive read the articles concerning added weight but are the effects THAT noticeable.

Each pound in unsprung weight is worth double or better sprung weight, so you're talking about 16lbs difference. It's not that big of a deal unless you're seriously racing. A good set of tires could do far more on the track than a 16lb diet, so I personally don't think its a huge deal either way. But again, it depends on your application
