Alright, when I get my bonus in march, I am going to be getting the tib painted and some new ‘shoes’ for it. I already figured it would not be worth it to have my old rims shipped (220$) and then spend the time money to re-coat them (50$ and about 8 hours of time) then I would end up needing to get the old tires off and buy new tires for the rims. In the end, it would only cost 150$ more to get new rims/tires and it would save me the time and work of re-coating my old ones.

So I found two different rims that I like, I just want opinions on which one to go with. As most of you know, I HATE polished/machined/chrome lips, so they will be painted over in black. When I get home from work I will post some chops of the black lip, so you get the idea.

Don’t bother recommending a different rim color, choice, brand, style, etc. I am set that it will be either the dr11 (first pic) or dr8 (second pic) I have always wanted some 5 spokes for the tib anyway. The car will not be the previous stated mystic teal metallic though. It will probably be rustoleum royal blue (kind of like cobalt blue).

they will both be in gloss black.

I like em both, Alot... I was looking into getting those awhile back but I just now sold my old rims so here in the next month or so I'll be in the market too...

If I had to pick one of them though I'd have to say Dr11, even though I like the Dr8s alot too

The dr8's might look better on your car, I think the way the spokes go in make them look like deeper lips, which would look good with your widebody.

o, and i duno if this might sway opinions, but i would be removing the little allen bolts (for the 3 piece look) and painting them the same color as the rim, so they wouldn't be noticable. i don't like the fake look either thats why i would make em blend in.

I really think you should go silver. The stock wheels look so much better than the black ones did.

But, if it's between the two, I'd look for a Graphite finish (Axxis had some for a while) rather than glossy black or gunmetal. I think the graphite look would compliment the CF better

The D11 would be easier to keep clean I would think. The silver center of the second wheel turns me off... and the big contrast between dark/light would bring attention to the center and make dirt jump out at you. Get the first one, with black lug nuts

well that would be better but i still like the dr8 better. those fake nutlocks just ruin the whole look for me, even if they are made to blend. just my persona taste i guess

Majik, I have no CF on my car to compliment any more. Lol.

I will probably be coating everything on these rims in black now that I think of it. That includes the center cap too. Only thing I wont be coating is the actual center of the cap that has the DRAG text.

Ill have to do a chop when I get home some people know what I mean. Just try and picture the WHOLE rim in gloss black, for both.. no chrome or silver at all.

if that's the case, people really need to vote based solely on the spoke design/width. The colors will be changed, the small attributes (fake 3-piece) will be changed... the only thing to determine is the size/spacing/design of the spoke.

I like the 2nd design better... I think they have more of a 4-D look to them and a "chop" when in motion, whereas the first wheel is a flat look and doesn't provide as much depth for the wheel

11 look very fat, 8 look o-k but ugly in the middle. I know fact they wont look right on our cars because theyre similar to rsgt's and those look like cookie cutters. If it comes down to the line and youre completely sure, id go with the 8 because they look ok. Id have to see it on the car. Overall they aint bad, nice pick.
