Default New rims

I've got a RD2 which is lowered about 1.5" with a Eibach lowering spring set.
I got 205/50/R15 wheels at the moment and I want to swap them for 195/50/R17 Pirelli with 17" OZ (ET = 45) laugh.gif:

Is this gonna work without problems ?
Will they not scratch my bumper with tight steering eek.gif

Rims look like this:

i believe you can put a 205/45-17 tire on without problems

i think you might rub with that size being a 17 and a 50 series

Yeah, problem is the tires are part of the rims, some dude sells the whole set together eyeroll.gif

Otherwise I would put Pirelli/Dunlop SP9000 215/40/R17 on the rims or something that size laugh.gif:

I watched the foto's again and the tires are like reallly thin. I think the dude made a mistake and it's suppose to be 195/40/R17
and that's almost the same as 205/15 popcorn.gif

205/40 would be a good size.

I have T&P Gold coilover and I lowered my car 2 inches and I had Toyo proxes T1-S(best rain tires ever!!) and now i have Nitto Neo-Gen 215/40/17 on ADR Stage II rims...ill put picks up soon....it does fit but its paper thin...you may also need a new alignment if you run more than stock negative camber cuz it wont work if you do...and just for a lil knowledge you can fit 225/40/17 up front but you will need a small spacer in the rear (10-15mm will be sufficient)

Kind of a useless post there, MK3. He was not looking for an opinion on the rims, just if they would rub with his new suspension.

BTW.. I really doubt your wheels would rub on the bumper, they will probably rub on the inside of the wheel well first.. down by your feet.

dude don't get a 50... unless you have a GK! 50's will definitely not fit and you will get rubbing.

those rims aren't too shabby in my eyes. sorry dude. but i'm just telling the truth. too many of their kind out there.

now, if you get a 17' rim, you surely want anything from a 205/40/17 (i don't reccomend it unless you want to ruin your rims and have a hard choppy ride quality) a 215/40/17 is our max. with a 215/45/17 you will have to hammer your fender in for the tires to fit and you will get the wrong mileage count/speed on your car. not to mention heaviness.

i got a 215/40/17 and they are simply magnificent. but anything higher is just overdoing it.
