I just picked up some 17 inch Enkei Rims. The problem is that one of the rims has a rahter large scuff in it. It looks like someone decided to see how close the curb really was.

My question is, can I get rid of this and how? The scuff is deep enough that I do not think that sand blasting and repainting will work. Any advise would be appriciated.

Thanks.

have you tried ebay? you might be able to pick up a rim to replace your scuffed one.

Then you could keep the scuffed 1 as your spare!

That might be hard to find a single rim. I'd try to get it fixed first, but it's up to you.

If it is a small scuff, you could use some emery cloth to clean it up. If it is bad, just live with it. If it is severe, take it to a tire shop to see if it is even able to be balanced. If it is not able to be balanced, see if the shop can fix it so that it can be. If it can't, see about finding another rim and use the bad one as a spare.

Default I´m gonna install my turbo system this weekend!

Ok, they are going to be mounted tonight. I looked at them again today and they are not that bad, just some scuffs around the edges. I will probably be able to live with them for the awesome deal that I got.

4 17" Enkei Rims and tires = $200 and stock Tiburon rims and tires.

This will be the only Escort that I have seen on Tib rims. I will take some pictures tonight.
