New breaks
Soo I've been busy this week.
Replaced my ball joint, tie rods ends, installed new cat, and finally installed my new rotor/ pads and painted my calipers. Here are some shot of the week end work.
I went with EBC green stuff pads and rotors.
Mangna Flow cat.
Black header wrap.
Here is a compare from the stock LC rotors to the Elantra rotors.

Second day I have them installed. Yea, I'm taking it easy for the first couple hundred of miles. Breaking is a huge differance. On the pads they have a red break in coat, so I'm gonna wait unitl that is gone to see how well they work.
This is my first time with slotted rotors, is it normal for the to make kinda like a grinding noise when breaking?
Could this be due to new pads?

I've never had them make a grinding noise, the EBC Green Stuff pads were a bit louder than the OEM when we put them on my friend Hon's Accent, but not very loud.

Ok, so I listened again. I take back the grinding noise. It more quite, almost like a rubbing noise. Seems like it getting quiter by the day!

Yeah, with slotted and drilled rotors, you'll get a little bit of a noise when braking. Its just the slots cleaning the brake pads and making sure they wear even. Its not a bad noise, but definitely different than what some people are used to.

I did. Took them a part and took a wire brush to them. Cleaned up and painted silver. They are black stock.

So i know i haven't been around much. Having a new born baby really puts a damper on life. Like working on my ride.
Anyways, i think finally figured out what that noise was. Wheel bearing going out. That SOB has loads of slop. Took it apart yesterday. sad.gif Now need to fork over some cash.
Also found that my lower controal arm is bent, where the ball joint is inserted. Now i need a lower controal arm. Dam this sucks.
It never ends, almost ready to take her down to the stealership and upgrade.
