Default Need tire suggestions

Car is stored in my parents barn for the winter and my new rims were delivered last week. Now I need tires. I want summer performance tires that wont make me spin out if we get any hard summer rain storms. So they have to decent wet traction. Should I just get a good all season or are is there any summer tires that are built for performance and dry roads but also do ok in wet conditions?

Oh, and do our cars need hubcentric adapters? I didnt get any with my rims.

BTW, I got 19x8 for the front and 19x10 in the rear. They're XXR rims.

hub rings depends on the bore size of the wheels. Find out and report back.

Summer tires that work in snow? idk.... keep stockers for winter and use Blizzaks. Keep summer tire for XXRs

225/40 front and 255/40 rear

lol Maj...re-read what he posted. He doesnt need winter tires. He needs tires that will handle decently in the summer if he gets alot of rain.

OP...you're best bet is to just get a good set of performance all seasons instead of summer only tires. That will safeguard you in case you do get any major rainstorms. And since you have 19x10's in the back, go with a wider tire, like 275 series.

wow..... my multi-tasking is suffering. I'm crossing Facebook posts with HA threads.

Yeah.... Hankook Ventus V12 for a good grip, decent rain tire that's reasonably priced... or go with Continental Extreme Contact DW for the more expensive but much better grip solution.

For a 19x10, I'd go 255 or 275. IMO, more tire = better, but it will bulge a little.

For the 19x8 you can get 215 and it'll fit good. A 40 series will be nice and meaty for those sizes, but depending on your drop you'll probably want 35 series in the back for fitment.

It's really ALL personal preference.

19x8 = 215/40/19

Sidewall: 3.4in

19x10 = 255/35/19

Sidewall: 3.5in

(or you can go 275/35 for a 3.8" sidewall, more bulge and more grip)
