Default My lowered Genesis on Tein springs

So, I got back home last night around midnight from my vacation down in Miami this past week. And I said today was the day I was going to lower the Genesis without any interruptions.

The entire process was incredibly simple. I started around 11:30, and finished the whole thing around 12:50. So, almost an hour and a half time frame. I took the car for a drive and it feels 100% like stock, except it takes corners much smoother, and theres no nose dive when shifting hard or braking hard.

Keep in mind, this is a VERY small drop. They say its an inch and a half after settling, which is fine for me. Those who have driven on NY roads, can understand my thought process of not wanting to dump the car to the ground on coil overs. Here's a before and after image I put together to show the drop. This after shot was taken immediately after sitting the car on the ground, so its going to take a few days of driving and sitting for it to get to its max drop of 1.5". An alignment will be made in a couple of weeks to assure proper settling has happened.

Now I just need my damn rim and tires to come in. Stupid out of stock inventory.

You'll like the sportlines definitely. A little more of a drop compared to the Teins, and I think its an even drop also, where as the Teins sit a little higher in the back, giving the rake look.

I know people are gonna say it needs "moar low" but honestly....I dont care. Function > Form, especially when you have horrible NY roads.

And when my 20's come in, they'll fill up the wheel well nicely.

Impressive. I wasn't expecting them to be that high. Tell me about those horrible roads... sometimes I wish I never even lowered my car, even with Eibach, but it's too much fun to take around corners to regret.

Check back here after about a month of driving. I'm glad everything went without interruption. It's nice to get things done on your own time without any rush or worry.

It really looks great. That front gap is so nasty without a drop. The Tein springs had a bigger impact than I imagined.

Not sure how the roads are there in WA, but here....its not uncommon to see stuff like this everywhere

Plus, its construction season which means ALOT of unfinished road ways and gravel.

Washington has better roads than a lot of places, but stuff like that isn't uncommon here either. That's why my next non-race project will be bagged.
