Okay, I'm in the market for new tires. My Cooper Zeon ZPT's have done decently, but they are pretty threadworn now and honestly don't grip as well in the rain or tight corners as i'd like. I've also got some Nexen N2000's i believe, and while they are good with plenty of life left on them. Beyond that, I've got a Falken Ziex 512 or something on one rim as a my full sized spare.

See where i'm going here?

I'm tired of having a frankentire car, and want to get a full set of new tires. I need 4 of the same brand/model, and one multidirectional for my full sized spare.

205/50 r16's are what I'm looking at. I'll probably just sell off the old ones, and the Nexens have a lot of tread on them so I may keep them around for emergency use, or just sell them to someone that needs em.

I've got some hookups at Discount Tire so I wouldn't mind going with them, but after looking at reviews, I'm REALLY thinking about getting these.

Nitto NT NeoGen VR's They are 83 bucks each and have a fantastic review record.

These.

Decently rated, $103 each.

Suggestions?

Comments?

Buyers for my spares? LOL

I'm not sure if you guys are able to get Uniroyal Rainsports?
I have them and a couple of my friends aswell.

Very grippy in the dry and even more grippy in the rain lol
There is hardly any difference, I was surprised the first bend I had to take with these on in the rain.
It felt like I was on a train rail!!

I have a set of Neo Gens on my silver set of 17" and the Nexen N3000's on another set of 17" wheels that I have. And the difference in grip is night and day, the neo gens are wonderful tires. I have had them on for roughly 4-5k miles and are great in the rain and are extremely grippy and are a good bargain IMO.

So, I assume you're looking for A/S tires and want to spend around $400 or less for them?

Redz, my favorite tires that I've had were these:

but you want an asymmetrical tire so that won't do. I've also enjoyed my ze-912s throughly, both in my stock size and my 225/50/15s that I had. Gripped good and has good treadwear.

I also have to highly recommend the kumho asx's. Good all season tire and grippy as well.

Those looks suspicously like general UHPs.

^^Just changed out my Falken ze-912's for the Kumho Ecasta ASX. Both gripped pretty nice. The ze-912s had decent tread life. Not sure about the ASX's as I just put them on early December but so far I really like them.

Grab the NeoGens Jer. Amazing grip AND amazing wear. There are reviews of these tires going 60,0000+!!! But with you driving, I'd probably say a solid 2,000!!!! J/K!!!

Seriously though, the Nittos are crazy grippy and I have yet to see wear on mine.
