me too...i have a 96 elantra, and since i can't afford full coilovers right now, i'll go for eibach springs..will i need to camber it??? How about if i get 16" rims??

If I remember right you do not need them unless you go over 2" drop.

However, after the new springs, get your alignment checked. If the alighment shop can't get your car within specs, you will need to pick them up.

So far, I don't know of anyone who installed them though. I remember some people TALKING about installing them, but I don't remember reading a review of AFTER the install..(the camber adjusters that is!)

i got a 97 elantra with intrax springs(which sucks big time, dont buy them  rough ride POS) and i have 17in and 205-40-17 and i didnt need a chamber kit but you will to get it aligned. im also looking into the KORE coilovers. i want something adjustable

I have put to my turbo tibby(270hp)viden springs(6 cm down)in combination with bilstein schock absorbers.I just replaced the bumpstops with newer more short and flexible(samco). The car really suffers now so i will put special adjustable suspension from billstein(for tibbies)but it costs a lot.!

Has anyone found any coilovers that are available now? I found one set for 370 plus shipping. Looking for less expensive coilovers, only.

AUTOBOT 05-21-2001 11:59 PM

That's not a bad price.

Are they the APEX?
If so, where from and do they have them in stock?

WEAPON R will have coil overs coming out real soon. They have them produced now, but they're just waiting for a guinea pig to try them before mass producing starts. You can probably expect the Weapon R's to be between $275-$300.

How do I become the guinea pig?
