well i've been looking around since the accident and i dont know how anyone finds rims on e-bay cause i can only find the same 10 rims over and over and over again

origionally i was planning to go with some lighweight 16's but since i cant afford that + repairs i think im stuck with 15's 15's dont look to bad in 5 spoke on the RD2's do they? personal taste i guess...

well heres what i came up with, im trying to go as light as possible to gain at least something out of this

heres what i was sorta going for before
something like this:

and this is what i came up with...

wheel link tire link

cant really say im that great of a fan of those wheels but im still looking, it comes to $1,031.81 CDN including shipping and "we install the tires onto the rims and computer wheel balance them for no extra charge. We will also supply you with an installation kit for no extra charge. This includes wheel nuts (or bolts), valve stems (installed with tires), and hub centering rings (when necessary)."

i definitly dont want to go over a grand which i know aint really possible with tire/rim

oh.. the question lol, anyone know of any smoother or just overall nicer rims for the same or cheaper price for a RD2? and is the tire choice good or would something different be better, live in calgary canada, like southern alberta so it gets cold in the winter and when it snows it snows so looking for all season tires

thanks alot for any help i get on this

since i cant edit, can a mod please combine these 2 posts

edit: after reading abit on the forum i 'think' im planning to go with 205/65R15 tires instead of the 196/65/R15

but according to http://www.rims-n-tires.com/info_specs.jsp...=8.0&et1=10

with the 205's over a stock setup,

"When speedometer reads 60mph (96.6km/h) actual speed will be 61.1mph (98.4km/h): 1.8% faster."
"Package will stick out 12 mm (0.5'') farther. Acceptable for most cars."
"Will fill out the wheelwell by extra 6 mm. Acceptable for most cars."

now is this a better tire choice? or am i tottally not getting this tire thing

second edit:

nobody bother to reply, ill just have a conversation with myself here lol

the motegi RT5's weight 12lb

and the motegi MR7's weight 16.5lb

overall, how much of a difference would it be between the 4 tires once the car is moving? cause thats 18lb in total for the difference in 4 wheels, the stockers weight 19lb if i read somewhere right i think...

they come to the same price

Look at rota wheels they are cheap and light. a 205/65 15 tire will be tall. I have 205/50 15s.

thanks brian, ill give the rota's a look

those centerline's are a real great deal but even though there only 15lbs, im really not abig fan of chrome/highly polished wheels and 17" rims, pretty sure thats the best deal i've seen yet though

has anyone ever heard of nex-o rims? good .. bad...

edit: and tibby... i have no clue what you mean lol, tried searching the forum for "alt" and filtered by your name but got like 32 pages with nothing to do with rims

.

alright, heres my lastet choice which im pretty satisfied with... but cant really find any numbers on weights for this combo so not really sure if im losing weight or gaining

16" nex-o px5

mounted on some proxies 4

im pretty satisfied with that combo,
comes to about $1100 canadian at my doorstep, brings a tear to my eye 02.gif lol

does anybody think they could photoshop that onto the car? i got no skills whatsoever
pic1
pic2
pic3
which ever would be easier, dont want to buy them and then turns out they look like ass on the car

forgot.. proxies tire size is 205/55R16

You might want to think about getting a tire size to keep the circumference and diameter closer to stock. The 205/65/15 you mentioned is 8.7% greater than stock and even the 205/55/16 is 6.2% greater. The stock tire size is 195/55/15. The best plus sizes are 205/45/16 or 205/40/17.

Try Victoria Tire out in Vancouver.

Victoria Tire

Before I destroyed my Tib, I was looking to replace my beat up Enkeis with rims from "Alt Racing" I was looking at the AT-200 litespeed. A nice five spoke rim.
