Default Is load index important to you?

I was reading about what load index figures mean here

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=35

I can see it being important on trucks, SUV's or other light/heavy duty vehicles where you are hauling around stuff but how important is load index on passenger cars?
