Knock Problem With My Tibby
Ok so let me try to tell you where I think the problem started.
A few months ago I put my car up on the jack and forgot to put the E-Brake on and the car ended up sliding and landing on the axle/rotor after I took the tire off. Yes, I know stupid me. I figured everything was fine because it seemed on the pavement was damaged and my car drove fine after I got the tire back on.
So maybe a couple weeks after, my car would make a knock every now and then when I either accelerated hard or broke hard and possibly even turned hard. I asked my dad about it and he is a mechanic but said nothing was wrong probably.
Well now I am away at college in florida so my dad cant look at my car and the knock is more often, along with a slight vibration of the wheel. Now I could be wrong about the vibrations because I do have a major dent in my wheel on the passenger side but as most of you know your cars like I do, you can tell when something is wrong and if it is a new problem.
The knock is coming from the driver's side (which is the side that the car fell on) and it only does it ONCE when I either stomp on the gas or break hard. Any help on this topic would help because I have no money to take it to the dealership to have them look at it, plus I don't like anyone but myself or my dad working on my car. Also I know the lugnuts are not loose, nor the caliper, because my dad suggested looking at those two first.
Any help would be GREATLY appriciated. Thanks.

If the lug nuts are tight, the rotor will not come loose, it is sandwiched between the rim and hub.
You could have a bad wheel bearing on that side, allowing the hub to move around some. You could also have bent a control arm and the hard movement is allowing something back there to hit something else.
I would also check your upper strut mount. If you compressed the mount too much when it fell, you could have sheared or broken the rubber on it.
