again
I am a big fan of my tiburon But I also own a 2000 elantra it looks like it would work but I always like another opinion.Has anyone ever converted the rear drums of a 2000 elantra to rear disk brakes from a 2000 or 2001 tiburon I rotated The wheels on both vehicles today along with the regular fall winter maintence.oil clean rotors cut flush and fill yada yada need a project other than my underdrive pullies that would take about half and hour at the most .Back to the subject my friend at the local junkyard told me they have a few tibs wrecked in the front of course. but I should have the use of the rear braking systems to convert my elantra.I think i'll call project RDB thought of DB but most people will think of car stereo heh thanks red wanna donate the rear brakes off of you car you're not using it right now heh getting home sick.

I remember reading somewhere of someone swapping the rear discs from a tib over to an elantra. I think I read about it on SR, could be wrong though.

They are based off of the same chassis, so I think it'd work.
Do a search at HA and HP.com and let us know.

I thought that too then I bought 2 compleate exhuast for bot the 2001 tiburon and 2000 elantra. The headers went on fine but and the tiburon catback went on fine but when I tried to put on the catback for the elantra(It was made for a tiburon)I found out the hard way. That the elantra is longer the curves were right but the mid pipe was 5 inches to short. Also the over the axle pipe was also 5 inches to short >if the hub assemblies were the same which they are that would mean the brake cable would need replaced then right?????

Looking for a little information
nah i, i just pulled them off. they didnt break. im just experimenting with different paints trying to figure out which one reflects the most light. its a pain in the a$$ to change the paint every time and its harder to tell which paints reflect more light.
