OK I need some help!
They sent me the front spring for an 03-06 Tiburon. The front spring fits, but the rear doesn't. Is there a different spring ratio for the 03-06 or can I use that one?

yeah they totally don't fit, with an angle too so i wouldn't even think of it. but the front ones look exactly like the 96-01, and i'm wondering if they're the same exact spring, or are stiffer for the V6. thanks abq =)
sorry if this has been asked before! i'm thinking of just ordering new ones for the RD.

The front dropped GK springs are exactally the same as a tib's standard spring. No difference in handling or anything. Did you get DropZone springs per chance? Call them and ask them to start making the correct springs.

the eibach GK springs are exactly the same as stock RD springs?
they are eibachs. yeah i called them and eibach both alike and they had conflicting part #'s. so i made it so i will call back tomorrow meanwhile they will call each other. i said it's probably a wrong # in shox computer because they have the GK part listed under 96-01's but they did do me a favor and ordered them without a kit, both seperately.
hopefully they can get the part # straightened out. damn this is funny though. i'm always the ONLY one in the world with these kinds of problems. lmao.gif must be 'cause i'm just an idiot for everything, but it sounds like i'm the only one in the world to ever order springs alone.
gotta love old tiburons because it's as rare as it gets. it's like having "historic" on your license plate, with aftermarket still available. good god cool.gif

That's the results my butt dyno gave me when i tried changing stockers for lowered GK springs.
I had dropzone springs which were labeled 01-02 tiburon on the package. I tried them and they did not work. They had the same fittment issues you are describing. I am currently waiting parts so I can put on new springs and shocks.

AFAIK, the springs work only with the shocks for the GK Tib. I believe the shocks bolt right up, though, as XD Elantras and GK Tibs can swap suspensions till the cows come home, and J2 Elantras can swap with XD Elantras. Seeing how the J2 and RD are the same car mechanically, you ought to be able to use the springs with the GK struts, not with the RD struts.

adam you are using dropzone springs? i saw your thread about the wrong part number from march. is that still going on? hesus... it looks to me that they were the wrong springs because no matter what all of them should fit right and lower the car from the start.
I'm using KYB struts. I suppose gk springs do fit up to our cars. I measured the ride height, and the car is all levelled up on both sides. i just had my strut mount changed from the accident too because it was bent.
so i called them today and they had the wrong part number given for 96-01 tiburons. they sent out the correct ones today and i will sell my gk springs on newtiburon. i wonder what the actual difference is between the front rd spring and the gk since the gk is heavier... hmmm.
