Would changing JUST the 4 calipers to Brembos have a major effect? Or is it useless to upgrade your brakes if you don't get the complete package of pads, rotors, and calipers for all 4 wheels?

If you can't lock up the front wheels under braking, upgrading the calipers to have more clamping force may help. Most modern cars don't need stronger brakes, they need brakes that will be stronger for longer - if you can't have a dozen panic stops (or hard-braking race turn entries) in a row without melting the pads - then it's time to upgrade pads and rotors - IF you plan on doing the type of driving where brake fade is a problem.

At the least you would need to upgrade pads and most likely master cylinder at the same time.

I'm not sure there is a package that will allow one to just upgrade the caliper. Most (likely all) brembos will require a semi-floating rotor and pads that match that caliper. You're not going to get away from this cheaply. On top of that you have to think how its going to be adapted. There was a member a while back selling brackets and lines to match the GC 4 pots to the GK Tib. It was actually a fair price but if you're brave and handy (and able to fabricate the mounts yourself) you can piece together the kit for about half his asking price.

Either way, you're not talking about a cheap endeavor.

Master cyl wont need to be updated unless you're getting REALLY serious brakes. (Bigger than Porsche Big Reds)
