I race solo II events with my 98 SE in Atlantic Canada and I'm always looking for parts to improve my car handling and performance.

I just installed a front AOS tower strut bar but AOS doesn't make a rear one yet. Does anyone know who makes one for the rear and if I can get it in Canada ?

I'm also looking for an affordable sway bar, the only think I found so far would cost me over $500.00CND.

Thanks in advance for all the help.

Thank you for the info, I had already been on their page and it's nice that they include shipping cost in their price but being in Canada it's a different story and it would cost me too much to get it across the border. This is why I asked if I can get it in Canada ?

I'm trying to find Canadian supplier, I already know of www.Speedstate.com but they don't have all the brand names.

I know that whiteline and OBX have some parts but again Canadian supplier are hard to find .

Thanks,

I think that he means that it won't fit if you have Cruise control... that's something to consider since I have cruise control, but why ?

Default FS: Stock First Gen Hood and Headlight Assemblies

Spike, MitchD has a 98, and CC should not matter for the front strut bars on the 1st and 2nd gens,... it's a 3rd Gen the Racetech bars will have issues with on the front.

MitchD I can't think of a rear strut bar from a supplier in Canada now, Speedstate USED to carry SR rear bars, but they have since stop their affilation with them and are getting rid of their stock. Did you try to email steven@speedstate.com to see if he has any old stock left? You might get lucky

As far as the Sway bars are concerned, I can't stress useing the Eibachs ones enough!
THEY KICK BUTT!
The Whitelines are OK too, I have the Eibachs (from speedstate) and one of the other local guys has the Whiteline, I find mine a little more stiff, perfect for AutoX, which reminds me,... I finally get to test it out this weekend with I got to AutoX, I've had my suspension on for like 3 months, but all the AutoX events have been on tuesday nights @ like 5:30, and I can't make it since I work on the other side of the city and don't get off till 5.
Anyway,... If you do go get the sway bars, I'd HIGHLY suggest you get the eibach prokit springs and struts too. It's not a huge drop, but it's enough to lower the center of gravity. And you seem to have the same philosophy as me, with handling,... I'd rather have it lowered for handling, then looks, like haveing it dropped like 3 inches. The Prokit springs will lower it about 1.5" with it's settled. I LOVE THE WAY MY CAR HANDLES!

The whole setup will run you like $2G's Cdn. Before install. If you have a buddy who has a spring compressor / clamps, it should be pretty straight forward, and while you have the spring and struts out, DO THE FRONT SWAY BAR! It's a PITA, but you'll figure it out.

The only other sway bar solution I can think of is just getting the rear sway bar off of a 03 Tib V6, 19.something mm. It's cheap from your local dealer. If you can't get it, lemme know I'll try to work something out for you. laugh.gif
But also get the bushings for the new Tib v6 bar,...

Oh here are some pix from my suspension install if you're interested.

So yeah,
-no Canadian supplier I can think of off the top of my head for rear strut bar
-If you can, get the Eibach Prokit (springs, struts and swaybars)
-If you can't afford it now, get the 03 Tib V6 bar. I can get you a part # if you need, if your local dealer does not know.

MitchD, KayJai and I talked about the tib's handling in another thread on this forum... take a look at this link...

http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?name=PN...ic&t=85&start=0

it's in the middle of the page, give or take. Strut bars and anti-sways will help but springs and dampers would be your next step.

Thanks for all the info guys, and sorry for starting more then 1 thread on the subject.
Kaijai, I had already talked to Steven @ speedstate.com that's who I got my front strut bar. He told me 2 weeks ago that they would have a rear one from AOS racing in mid september.

Also thanks for refering the IEbach over whiteline because so far I was only looking at the price but as they say you get what you pay for so I'll probably get the IEbach kit in the spring.

thanks again guys.

He's talking about the 2003.

We are talking RD here. They should still fit, BUT, again, I got my front bar from Moteria thru Importshark, they fit.

The only reason it would have a problem is if the bar isn't angled enough and doesn't go high enough to clear the CC armature on the TB or BBTB.

No biggie really, most of the bars sold are angled like this...

_/-------_

If yours looks almost flat, with no upward bend, then it may not clear the CC armature.
