Default I want wheel spacers but I'm scared

Everybody says wheel spacers are dangerous and shouldnt be used. I was thinking about a set of 20mm for front and 25mm for the rear. I dont think I'll be getting new wheels or tires for a couple of years. Besides I like my stock 19's and think they look great. They just need to be a little more flush with the fenders because they're sunk in too much. a girl out.

A lot of people use spacers for stock wheels on the Genesis. I wouldn't recommend them for tracking or autocross, but for daily use they're fine. The biggest issue people have are the spacers warping and causing wobble. Torque them down properly (~80lbs, don't overtighten), same with the lug nuts, and they'll be fine. Make sure they're hubcentric as well. 67.1mm bore

I'm running 20mm adapters right now, and they are working fine. I have a few friends running 30-35mm adapters. A few others are running spacers anywhere from 5mm-35mm. None of us track our cars, I wouldn't recommend it just as a precaution.

Like Majik said get wheel and hub centric spacers so you know they are lining up correctly, and make sure you buy longer lugs for them.

This is where I bought my Adapters from, don't buy ebay ones.

Sacrificing steering feel, warranty, and insurance for a marginal difference in aesthetics? nah.

I'm running 20/25 on my stock setup right now. No sacrifice in feel, warranty, or insurance.

Spacers can mess with your wheel bearings some, but only if they're not hub centric. If you get a good set of them (stay away from ebay ones), you'll be fine. Just no autocrossing, drifting or 1/4 mile drag racing with them on. If you plan to do that, take them off.

Just make sure they are Hub-Centric and the center bore is correct.

feel
Try turning off ESC and doing a split-mu panic stop

warranty
if you chew out wheel bearings or srub your tires off early, will you leave the spacers on there when the car gets inspected?

insurance
It's an illegal handling modification period. This is not even a controversial point. If you crash into somebody, the insco nazis will comb over the car and find any way not to pay out on your claim - spacers are an easy red flag.
