If I had a webcam, that's what it would have looked like when I saw that picture. But with a beard.

the very, very, very, basic concept here is legit however everything else is wrong.

the idea is basicaly a body drop. by changing the location of where the suspenion attaches to the frame, unibody in this case, you lower the car without affecting suspension travel.

here is a list of problems with his setup, there are lots more but I aint going that deep into it.

1. the strut mount should evenly distribute the weight by making contact all the way around. not just the location of three bolts.

2. there is and extreme amount of torsional and tensional stress being applied to those bolts that are probably just plain old bolts from the hardware store

3.when you change the suspension to body geometry you must account for changes at sway bars, control arm/ball joint, steering linkage, brake lines (remember you have changed the factory location of the spindle to the body) etc...

4. the rest of us have to ride on the roads with this idiot, including our children, spouses, parents, friends, I dont even want my enemys riding within 10 miles of this fool.

thats all I got to say about that (Forest Gump)

Kind of an issue too lol. Because your spinning rubber might now attempt to go through your fendor when you hit a bump. Locking your front wheels for a millisecond at high mph doesn't lead to good things.

That is why even a 'engineered' piece that was stong enough to withstand the abuse and didn't just have contact at 3 small points, would still be a horrible idea.
