How long did your stock shocks last after dropping your ride??
I've heard that if your mileage is high, then you risk blowing your shocks sooner.
I have 140k right now.
Whats your experience??
thanks

Sorry if you already know this but shocks have a lifetime. as you rack up mileage the performance of your shocks decreases. i don't think i've ever had "blown" shocks but over time they just become useless and that's when you should swap them out. It has absolutely nothing to do with how much mileage is on your car but how much is on the shocks themselves.
on to your question, i lowered on used shocks and the ride became pretty bad after like a year i want to say, but that was already on used shocks.
i just put on new shocks with the same springs and that was 6 months ago, rides the same as when they were new.

I just added dropzone lowering springs with 58k on my 2002 lc. Both front struts were already blown so I put new ones on with the new springs.

If you have 140k on stockers... you already need new struts.
It still rides pretty good right now smile.gif
Guess, i'm gonna start looking for struts, soon.
I'm gonna get the springs installed first.
Thanks

screw KYB. they begin to rust in about one week. it's nice they make stuff for us, but thats the last time i buy them. the stock struts are better.
i had my eibach struts and they were superior quality. the welds on them were so strong. they cost a little more but if you ask me it's worth it. ...blew mine out when i hit a curb coming back from work one week after installation sad.gif
