The H&R kit I got for the rear just slipped right over their extended studs. Nothing needs to be pressed on. I used the nut to torque the new studs back in.

Lug studs need to be pressed in. I changed my front lug studs a few weeks ago. I just put the stud in the back of the hub, put a washer on the stud, put the lug nut on and torqued it down until the stud was pressed in, then repeated for all the studs. It took me about 45 minutes and the studs are holding up fine so far. Hope this helps.
