Default growl when braking with new rotors & pads

I'm getting a growl when braking with my new R1 concepts drilled & slotted rotors & hawk pads installed. This is only at the left front. I'm also getting a slight squeak from the right rear.

What do you guys think could be causing this? Did I not bed them in right? Everything was brand new and I also bled all the lines.

https://www.google.com/search?q=grow...slotted+rotors apparently it's a feature. If it's only on one side, maybe the other side has the edges of the holes dressed a little differently, or maybe the noisy side is braking harder but growling with D&S rotors is apparently quite common. If I had to place a bet, I'd say it's because of the edges of the slots and holes rubbing differently on the pads than the flat surfaces on the rotor.
