My RD1 is really in need of a suspension overhaul in the front end. The shocks and springs are good. I know the lower ball joints are shot, the rubber boots are cracked as well. While I am ordering parts I want to get it all so I can do it all at the same time. What else should I look into replacing?

- check for any tears or leaks from your cv boots so that you can order it too. I'm doing a complete suspension/steering overhaul (including front & rear, as well as shocks and springs), and I found that both my cv boots are ripped.
- for tie rods, you could do just outers, I decided to do inner and outers (both were bad), so determine that. If you do inners, make sure you buy the saginaw tool:

and to do the outers, you will be ever so thankful to me if you order this:

It's used to pop your outer tie rod from the spindle. I sooooo recommend this one to anyone doing their outer tie rods (especially if it hasn't been done in 8 or 9 years).
- buy 2 cotter pins for your outer tie rods
