Default Eibach Vs H&R Sway / Anti-roll Bars

I wanted to get some bars ordered in the next few days and searched through six pages of topics on here but didn't get a clear answer from the search.

First what's our stock size sway bar size for a 97 Tiburon??

What I'd like to know is how good are the eibach and H&R sways bars and what's the difference in the sizes. Looks like Eibach comes in the front 20mm and the rear at 16mm.

The H&R ones are 26mm in the front and 20mm in the rear.

Found two sites that I'll probably order through once I decide on with brand.

http://www.shox.com/appguide/shoxsho...ctsdisplay.php (Kind of weird on this site the Eibach sway bar sizes are 20mm front and 26mm in rear)

http://www.ilovebodykits.com/product...ron_4_Cyl.html

Thank you

my roommate has the eibach kit (front and rear <most only install the rear>) and i personally feel it's too stiff. i noticeed during a very hard turn the rear of his car had a tendancy to hop through the apex as opposed to sliding.

it's been said that fwd cars favor a thicker rear bar-... and if you need more control after that then you go to the front bar-...

if it were my money i'd go for the h&r rear only-... (or if i could find it the bar from whiteline)

hope this helps

I've heard many say that Whiteline overtook Eibach on sway setups many years ago but I don't think they're available anymore. I'd look into H&R.

The 17mm rear bar off Red's Tiburon was an upgrade from the 13mm bar that came on my Elantra. Not sure what year his car was.

Thanks everyone, just looking to upgrade the stock bars slightly nothing for autocross. Figured if I could find the Eibachs i'd go with that to compliment my front and rear strut tower bars, harness bar, and floor bar, but again if I could find those. The price was more in my price range of what I'd be willing to spend at this point in time and I'd be able to get both front and rear sway bars with the eibachs. H&R I'd probably only be able to get the rear for now and then if I decided later I could get the front H&R or possibly whiteline if I could find those.

Looks like my best bet is to run with the H&R or whiteline rear 20mm bar for awhile and then possibly get the front bar next year. I tell ya, I love speed and horsepower like the next guy but quarter mile drags are boring to me so I like more suspension work and holding speed through the corners. Nothings better than hitting turn after turn perfectly, it's calming and exciting at the same time. Hard to explain.

True, what Tanc said. Been in cars with a ton more horsepower than a tiburon, yes fun but I still prefer autocross and track racing.

Ended up just ordering the H&R front and rear bars, at my work we do a lot of business through tire rack so I got both bars for $375.00. When I get them painting them red then throwing them under the car when I change into the lightweight flywheel, replace my cracked driver side axle boot, and change my oil pan gasket. Might as well get it all done in one swing.
