Eibach Coilover worries?
Sup.. i just ordered my eibach coilovers (sleeve style) just wanna know... i have KYB struts on their for about 2 months now, and im gonna put the coilovers on, i have currently on the eibach springs (1.2" drop) but i wanna drop it more with the sleeves... i also have 205/40/17 tires, now the question... how much can i drop without rubbing? im lookin at 2 or 2.5in drop... recommended? lemme know your stories or what you suggest.. Visionz...?? any noises or anything to worry about with coilovers? should i worry about the lockin perch coming loose? thanks in advance

I understand you can go as low as 2" without needing anything to be modified. If you didn't have aftermarket struts, you couldn't go that low, but you probably already knew that. If you want to sell those Eibach springs, let me know. I need some.

Just remember...with sleeve style coil overs, your car will not have the same handling and ride quality as just the regular Eibach springs. You'll lose some of the comfort, and the handling will be a little less. As far as how low you can go, with 20/40/17 tires, you can go down to a 2" drop, but upon hard turns, and big bumps in the road, you will rub a tiny bit. But for regular driving conditions, you should be fine. Any bigger of a drop, or bigger tires, and you will rub alot more.
If you're strictly going for looks and ride height, then the coil overs should be fine for you. But if you're looking for great handling and great ride quality, then I would still with your springs, or go with a TRUE coil over set. Good luck.... wink
