I know that you can swap in the rear sway bar from the 03 tib in to an elantra, but would coilovers made for the 03 tib work in an XD?

 

I don't really know, but I would imagine that there would at least be some differences such as spring rate or stuff like that because I imagine that the car have different weights and have it distributed differently. So, don't know if it would be a good idea to just swap out springs/shocks things like that.

Again this is purely conjecture based on my attempt to apply reason, logic and common sense. Thus there is smoke exiting my ears currently.

 

The main problem is while yes they may fit or you could make them fit, is the weight.

Putting coilovers for a 3100 pound car on a 2700 pound car.


holy geezus. Thats gonna be a real rought ride, when you dont have a fully loaded car.

 

Jay from Elantraxd.com is trying this out. the suspension does fit but he has no idea how it'll drive yet.
