Default Do springs really sag?

I've been on discussion forums long enough to hear people sometimes say springs do sag. People read it on the internet, and it get's passed around. In theory, springs do sag. Compression will wear them out over time where they don't bounce back the way it once did.

But I have never actually seen an owner's thread that said "OMG, WTF, my springs have sagged." As from the OP.

It always seem like it's a comment or opinion.

I've had several vehicles with springs that have sagged. It's worse on leaf spring vehicles IMO, but my Bronco's front coils are almost an inch lower than they were when it was new.

Springs do sag. Especially the rear springs on my Camaro. I'm actually looking into purchasing a new set because the Eibach Pro Kit springs that are installed in there now have almost a 1" more sag in the rear compared to the front. When I first installed the springs my car sat perfectly level. Now it looks like I have a couple bags of cement in the trunk. When I drive the car and step on it the rear springs just collapse and I hit the bump stops.

I also read that Eibach changed to a stiffer spring in the rear for the kit I used in my car about a year after I bought them due to a bunch of complaints about the rears sagging.
