Yea man, very bad idea....Now you could do a search and read a butt load of posts on this, but ill save you.
Get a set of KYB GR2 struts and the springs of your choice. You will then have a ride that is a litte rougher than stock, but handles a million times better. You can use your stock struts for a few months but they will die on you very fast soo if you can just get a set of KYB GR2's right away, that would be ideal.
Eibachs lower you about 1-1.5 inches.
Intrax will lower you about 2-2.5 inches.
You can buy the struts and springs on ebay for the lowest price.

Like Double_A said, higher or lower springs will kill stock shocks.
Better - collect money, buy shocks and springs and install then at one time (cause to change springs or shocks you need to reassemble whole strut (shocks + springs).

this is why i ask b4 i do, now the eibach pros, they give about a 1.2 drop but wont it be stupid bouncey with stock struts? or will it be really stiff?... until i put kyb on...
I've used Eibachs with OEM shocks (and they were brand new shocks, I bought them to install with the Eibachs) and the ride is pretty bad. Eibachs are not stiff enough to limit bouncing, and the OEM shocks do nothing with progressive springs. It was my wifes carand I could only stand them for a day because the ride was so poor; I bought a set of KYB GR2 and the ride is now so much controlled.
On the other hand I have H&R's on my car, also with KYB GR2 and the ride is much firmer, the car rolls less on corners and it feels sportier. A friend has H&R's installed with OEM shocks and the ride isn't as sportier as with the GR2, but I think you could stand the H&R-OEM schock combo MUCH better than the Eibach-OEM shock combo, that last one I definitely don't recommend.

i had H&R springs. loved the ride, loved the spring rate.
it lowered it about 1.5"
i had H&R with stock struts and it was firm enough for me.

^^ word, that's what i'm running right now. Have been for 7 months. I'm might get some new struts though soon, just to try them out, Eibach or KYB. Probably Eibach.
