Cross Drilled Rotors Noise
Hey Guys,
Wanted to get your input. I purchased Brembo Cross Drilled Rotors a couple of months ago. I had them installed in my car because the hubs had to be pressed.
After they were installed, there was a constant noise coming from the rotors (sounded like rubbing). I brought it in to have them look at the noise and try to narrow it down. They said it was because the rotors were cross drilled and it was wind noise that I was hearing.
I can understand how this might be, but I never heard of anyone else having this problem. I wouldn't have bought them if I knew that they were going to make such a noise.

Yes, cross drilled rotors make noise. That is why 99% of cars don't have them from the factory.
There is no cure for it. If you don't like the noise, you'll have to sell the rotors, or turn up your stereo.

you mean constant as in with or without the brakes applied?
it could be the dust cover, i ripped mine off, stopped that noise.
the other thing could be the vibration plate that goes over the pads.
that can rub on the inside hub
to fix that, take the plate off, bend about 2-3mm of the tab in half,
and bash it flat with a hammer.
