I have the Dewalt 3/8 and 1/2 drive impacts along with the 1/2 chuk drill with the 18vXRP batteries.
Absolutely love them, beat the crap out of the 3/8 Impact at work and it still amazes me everyday with the power that it has and the batteries hold a charge for a good amount of time.
A guy I work with has the new craftsman one with the 20 different attachments for it, I like I idea of it and he says he likes it but I still like my Dewalt much better.

i have a craftsman c3 cordless 3.8 impact..not the best or the most powerful powertool but it gets the job done,
brakes, wheel studs, axles, struts, exhaust bolts,
i usually keep it in the car in it's case but i need to remember to keep it out of the cold or the battery will suck.
i paid about $100 bucks for it at sears..

If your drill has a lithium chemistry battery, keep it out of the hot also. They have a nasty feature where they get explody if they have been over a critical temperature.
That critical temperature can be reached and exceeded in a car sitting in the sun on a hot day.
Once they have (ever) overheated, they are literally a fire waiting to happen. Unless you know for-sure your car will not be getting hotasfcuk inside, don't leave A.N.Y.T.H.I.N.G with a lithium ion battery in it. To include computers, cameras, phones, tools, whatever.

The snap on guy made his weekly stop last week trying to push his 3/8" impact...for $600!! check the flyer this month it's in there.
f*ck that! I don't care if it has 250ft/lbs of torque, that's just redicilous and the main reason I spend most of my money on the MAC truck. Not to mention my snap on guy is huge douche.
My Dewalt has impressed me way to much to be bothered with anything elset, it's got about 150ft/lbs. I've used the crap out of that thing day in and day out for the last 2 years with one battery issue that was warrantied.

I use my $600 3/8" all day long for 3 days without changing the battery. To me, it's worth it. Oh and my MAC guy is a douche. He wouldn't exchange a pair of pliers for me because I didn't buy them from him.
