Default Cleaning the sticky tape from weights off rims

I got 2 new tires for my car and the mechanics didnt use the taped on weights...they used the one that crimps on the side of the lip (they did it on the back...not the front) but when they took off the old weights, they left the sticky tape on the inside of the rims. How the heck do you get it off? Its not like regular tape...its like super industrial sticky tape. Can I just take something to scrape it off without scratching or hurting the rims?

I'd use some goo gone. Seems to work on just about everything, just try to keep it off your tires.
