Default Chrome polish for rim lip

Anyone use chrome polish for the lip of their rims? I was thinking about getting some, but Im curious if it worth the extra trouble. Usually when I wash my car, the rims look good and the lips are shiny from the soap and water. Will chrome polish do anything else to the lip to make it shinier...if that makes any sense?

Get whatever polish is appropriate for the metal you have. If you have chrome lips, get chrome polish. Aluminum polish for aluminum, etc.
