Can any wheel cleaner be used on matte black wheels?

Default Can any wheel cleaner be used on matte black wheels?

Or do I have to use something that's specifically made for matte colored wheels? I know there's some people on here that have that color so are you just using regular car soap and water or something else?

Generally, matte finishes require special cleaners. I'll let our resident detailers post specifics.

Dang it. That's what I was hoping to not have to do. I was hoping I would be ok with just regular cleaner for any other types of wheels.
