Hey guys, so the last couple days my car was sounding like it was like scraping or grinding when I break, there's about 82k miles, anybody have ideas of what it may be? Thanks a lot

Brake pads need replaced, it's your warning pads hitting.

Change the brake pads before it ruins your rotors.

Did you change your pads while you were at it? If so how long ago was that? Like they said you should just need to change your pads.

screeching is usually just the feelers telling you that your brake pads are low....

grinding means you need to change your pads ASAP before you destroy your rotors... take it from someone who waited to long to change pads... by the time the grinding started... it was too late rotors were destroyed. Midas actually kept my rotor and put it up on the wall as an example of what happens when you are stupid and dont change your pads. owned.gif hahaha

well.

your mechanic is an idiot. tell me how some spray paint will mess up a brake system with its gobs of friction and heat and i will turn a civic into a lambo.

and you should listen better. brake pads wear like crazy, and should be changed atleast every 20k miles. CHANGE YOURS. that is the problem. brake pads don't last forever.

the car went in for new rotors a couple of weeks ago, shouldn't they have told me that I needed to get new break pads soon?
