Brake Pads And Calipers, Where To Buy From.
I need new/used rear calipers and also I'm looking for some brake pads. i have been thinking a moderate compound maybe GreenStuff pads or HAWK performance.
throw out some recommended places to buy these items before i order.
thanks
Jeromy
oh yeah, and if any of you guys have these parts laying around I'd rather support the RD community than autopartstrain or something.
speaking of them, they have a "core charge" does this mean that if you buy the caliper you pay 70 dollars extra until you send them your old one? If not, what is that charge for?

You can even get them from a local auto parts store if you wanted. I would check prices there. And you will need to return your old ones to get the core charge back.
If you want used check car-part.com or see if someone is parting out right now.

yes, a core charge is something in hopes for you to return your old, "bad", part(s). they take your parts, rebuild/repair them and resell them at an obnoxious charge to make a profit off of.
if you're using OEM calipers along w/ OEM rotors, you might as well use OEM pads.... i've noticed, over the years of working in sales in the auto repair field, that Wagner ThermoQuiets are as good as it gets in terms of how long they last/noise/etc.
