Has anyone spent some real money on a big brake upgrad or have any pictures or info.

No one has the HP racing units, but ChrisH of Fxtreme just did the Shark Racing Big Brake upgrade. He has some photos and feedback in the Fxtreme thread he created.

I think Chris did the Captive to Non-Captive big brake conversion in about 5-6 hours. Read those threads though. There are some special tools you need to do it.

If you already have non-captive rotors, it is a 2 hour job.

Me gots a 2000 5speed if it helps

Hey Trypgod you should have non-captive rotors. I believe they were only on the earlier models up to 99.

1997 and 1998 have captive rotors
1999 forward have non-captive rotors.

Captive rotors have 4 large bolts holding the hub/rotor assembly together.

Non-Captive rotors have 2 small screws (that can be removed).
