Hey guys and gals, sorry for the repetitive and overused question again here on the site, but I was looking for a more specific answer to a varied question.
I am going to need new pads soon (the holes in my drilled slotted rotors are cracking, but what the hell lol). I am looking at the highest of high performance when it comes to brake pads. Here is the list (it is short) of my options, I don't care about the price.
Hawk HP Plus
EBC Yellowstuff (can only find rear pads??? any links?)
I suppose I should mention the Hawk HPS pads as well, but I want to take full advantage of my new wheels and tires when they arrive so... I want GRIP.
Right now, if I stomp hard on the pedal at under 65, there is a spongy feeling (trust me, there is NO air in the brake system and it was bled about 10k ago, going to do it again soon). But if I am faster than 65, especially when I am over 120, it stops fast as hell, I have to be careful how hard I push on the pedal to refrain from locking up the front wheels. So that is all good, and I want the fast stops from high speed from the new pads as well, but I was wondering if swapping from these ebay 'posi quiet' pads to a set of the pads listed above would increase the stiffness of my pedal a bit and bite the rotors a little harder at low speeds with less pedal pressure being necessary. Granted they will need some warmup time, but that isn't my current problem, because even after a few 80mph stops with no fade, the pedal feels the same under 65.
I think the decrease in rotor surface area due to the slots and drill holes causes a problem under normal driving conditions, but helps in those high-speed situations.
Are there any BBK's available for my 98 tib? I would be willing to swap hubs to non-captive style if so. And the kit would have to fit under my 16" wheels.
Thanks for all the opinions, info., and any help everyone.

yah def hawk FTW
They stop scary hard, better than a BBK would. Remember, a bbk only helps prevent brake fade, in most cases theyre alot heavier than stock rotors and calipers so they'll actually take longer to stop. And for street and everything but real real hard track use, youd be 100% satisfied with hawks and stock size rotors.
and if your brake lines are bled, the spongy feeling would leave with the pads, but if your looking for even more response your gonna need SS brake lines.

Thanks for the replies guys, looks like I am going to go with the Hawk HP Plus pads, especially since most of the people on here have the HPS's.
Good point about the BBK alex, and BTW I already have the SS Goodrich brake lines all around so...
Anyway, good to hear some positive info about the hawks, only mild downside is the fact that it is going to cost me about $200 bucks for the fronts and rears:
Fronts:
http://www.coximport.com/HAW-HB261N.665
Rears:
http://www.coximport.com/HAW-HB262N.540
Thats about $206 actually, damn that seems expensive just for pads, but if they are as extraordinary as you are all saying than what the hell right?
I will have to look around for other sites to see if I can find them cheaper.
Thanks for the help guys, any more opinions or info is also appreciated, probably won't be purchasing these for a couple of months. I am considering getting a new set of rotors for the front (Rotorworks again so they match the rears that don't need to be changed-no cracks). But I do like the cracks in the drill holes, makes the rotors look like they were used for what they were purchased to do... Stop the car fast from high speeds.
Just found this site, that seems like a pretty good price:
http://www.ultimatetruck.com/product_slots...amp;model=20596
That comes out to about $173.

Brake dust wise, I think they are great. My rims have a chrome lip and it takes at least a week of stop/start daily driving and thrashing to make my rims to start looking dusty and grey.
Like the EBC packet states: "More bite, less dust"

Considering the difficulty I have had in finding yellowstuffs all around, I will likely go with the HP plus's, unless someone finds a link to a site selling the front and rear yellowstuffs.
Thanks for the insight guys.
