My car came with the Cooper Zeon on they, they have a tread rating of 280 which is great, when I checked the price out of coueosty I found that they were $100 each 8O
zeon's look good, but cooper tire don't make racing tires. this must be new... although i doubt they are better than Kumho MX. I have a change to get all four 215/40/17 for $200 brand spankin' new... that store have Kumho but not MX... unfortunately...
does anybody know why the heck i can't get Kumho MX's at the army base?
I have Kumho Ecsta MX 205/40/17 on my car. My previous tires were Falken.. i forget the model. On another one of my cars, I had several types also....
Well, I really like the performance of my Ecsta MX's, they grip the road hard, specially the way that I drive... anyone who has ridden with me or driven by me, knows I drive like a madman. I like taking corners at 30-45 mph... these tires don't squeel or loose a bit. Actually, I lie... I took a 60 degree turn freeway onramp at 50 mph and broke the back end loose a little.. but no real problem. I just needed to slow my ass down.
Anyways, I have about 15K miles on them, not showing any signs of wear, especially as hard as I drive them. (Rotate every 5k, keep the pressure up etc.)
Wet performance... when taking off from a stand still, I can break the tires loose, but coming to a stop, I haven't felt any fade. They also handle very nice in the rain. (Especially with all the rain that we have been getting lately here in Southern California.)
And the price? *edit* $108 each *edit* at America's Tire Company. Great deal, great tire.

whoa, are you sure those are MX's?? do you mean Supras? MX's cost like $150 per tire!! very helpful review though.
i have had ecsta supras on my car for three months and loved them!!! but that was 195/55/15. now i need 215 MX's. they are too sexy!!!they cost around $150 per tire and the base doesn't have them.
*mad mod edit* Fixed your quotes...
Actually, I'm sorry, I just went down to the car and checked my invoice.
It was 205/40R-17 Kumho Ecsta MX - $108 each (installed)
Installed includes new valve stem all that good stuff.
Then I paid the $60.00 for lifetime hazard replacement. (cause I was driving down dirt roads everyday)
Total after taxes and everything = $540.30
Still a good deal in my opinion.
They were special order, so I had to wait 2 days for them to come in. haha.
I did check on Tirerack.com... they are going for $78.00 each.... a great buy! But consider your going to spend money to ship and get them put on... but you'll probably still come under $500.00 for them.

Best tires I've had yet. (Actually, I feel they are on par with my BF Goodrich Comp T/As I had on my Chevy Monte Carlo. Those are GOOOOOD tires, but the wear hella fast.)
