Default bearings toasted?

Well i knew it was coming but i never put time aside to fix it. Today i was rollin out to get some gas and took a shapr turn and POP! then a few more loud POPS and then hardly any turning capability. At least none with out the POPS. SO i barely made it back to my house. And now I'm at a loss. I was told it was the bearing and I need new ones. Its definately my front end, the rear has no noise or probs. I just thought I would check at the good ole forums to see if anyone could lend some advice. Luckily, I bought my Stealth yesterday as I was to be selling the Tib soon. Let me know if ya have any suggestions. Thanks all

no other suggestions than to replace the bearings. I can't say I've hever heard of them going quite that fast or catastraphically before. Ususally they go bad slowly over time.

Had they been making griding noises before?

Random you may know what the heck this is all about but it turns out my bearings are shot. Also my Hub assembly. The noise was going on for maybe 2 weeks so I havent drove it that much. I took it in today and the mechanic is telling me this. " The bearings are no problem. However I called the dealer (Hyundai) and they said the Hub that I have was a 2 month production model. Meaning that Hyundai made them for two months then changed them. It will take them 3-5 days to get the part and will cost 382 for the whole deal. " So I'm fixing it and we'll go from there. Has anyone heard of this happening? or for that matter a 2 month production model on the Hubs?
